I am part owner of Freedom Wireless Broadband (hence why I am using the fwbnet.net domain name to host my Android stuff). By trade I am a software / network engineer that likes to have my hands in everything. Since I bought my new android phone, I have been very interested in developing my own androind applications. Being part owner of a wireless internet company, I am ALWAYS testing / working on different network equipment and radios. This is why I developed the Network Monitoring Ping Notifier Tool. This tool will ping a device over the 3G or wifi network and let you know if it is up or down by sending you a text message. This tool is very helpful when you are in the field pounding on equipment and need to know when it is alive or dead.
